Ross Cavill BSc
Ross began his career in 1980 as an apprentice with Westland Helicopters. During his apprenticeship he gained an H.N.C. in Mechanical and Production Engineering, before going on to read Mechanical Engineering at the Queen Mary College, University of London, graduating in 1990. In 1991, he joined the UK Patent Office, where he became a Senior Patent Examiner, responsible for examining patents in a wide variety of subject matter. In 2000, Ross took up the post of Senior Patent Advisor at Renishaw near Bristol, where he gained valuable experience in the commercialisation and enforcement of patents. In 2002 he was awarded the Michael Jones Prize by the Chartered Institute of Patent Agents (CIPA), for achieving the highest marks in one of the Institute’s advanced professional examinations.
He is married and his interests include gardening, walking, cycling, DIY and having fun with his three children.
