Ian Lambert BSc, PhD, CPA, EPA
Ian is a Patent Attorney handling a wide range of technology including chemistry, chemical physics, sensors, mass-spectrometry, instrumentation, textiles, laser based inventions, medical devices and medical physics, materials, plasma etching and semiconductors. He acts for a wide range of clients including multinationals, SMEs and universities. Ian has represented clients at Opposition and Appeal hearings before the European Patent Office.
Ian read Chemistry at Birmingham University, graduating in 1987, and obtained a PhD in Chemical Physics from the same university in 1990. He then undertook postdoctoral research at Bristol University. Research activities included high resolution spectroscopy and molecular dynamics, synchrotron radiation, time-of-flight mass spectroscopy and spectrometry, and laser analysis of molecules. Ian is a co-author of over twenty peer-reviewed papers relating to this research.
In 1994, Ian joined another firm of patent attorneys where he qualified as a Chartered Patent Attorney. Ian joined Wynne-Jones, Lainé & James in 2004 and became a Partner in 2008.
Ian is married, and his interests include cycling (both recreationally and time trialling), mountain walking, circuit training, and garden design.
Ian is a Chartered Patent Attorney and a European Patent Attorney.
