Dafydd Collins
Dafydd is a Trade Mark Assistant with strong expertise in UK trade mark law and a sharp focus on contentious matters. He supports clients by protecting their brand rights and reducing exposure to risk, quietly and effectively.
Before entering private practice, Dafydd served as a Hearing Officer at the UK Intellectual Property Office. He decided a wide range of disputes, assessed complex evidence, and chaired hearings. This experience gives him a deep understanding of how decisions are made and what truly influences outcomes.
Dafydd is skilled at analysing the strengths and weaknesses of a case and preparing clear, persuasive submissions. He anticipates challenges early and helps clients understand the practical options available, so decisions are strategic, informed, and commercially grounded.
In his current role, Dafydd supports attorneys across all areas of trade mark work, with a particular emphasis on disputes and enforcement. He assists in building robust evidence, coordinating with overseas associates, and maintaining IP portfolios that are aligned with broader business goals.
Since joining the team, Dafydd has qualified as a CITMA Paralegal with Merit - further strengthening the expertise our clients rely on.
