The Wynne-Jones Team have served as the one-stop shop for all of our intellectual property needs since the formation of Cotton Mouton Diagnostics Ltd in 2015. As a small company with limited internal resource, being able to trust external advisors with arguably one of our most valuable assets is hugely important.

Our patent attorney, Dr Ian Lambert, is both knowledgeable and pragmatic, having a breadth of experience which he can draw upon to offer the most appropriate advice and assistance when it’s needed. Ian understands our business and what we’re trying to achieve and is therefore able to truly support us on our journey. He has been instrumental in building and maintaining our IP portfolio, as well as shaping our IP strategy, whilst being mindful of our budget. Ian has also supported us in commercial discussions and due diligence activities with prospective partners, which has been hugely beneficial to our business. Far from being just another professional advisor, Ian is an integral member of the CMD Team!

More recently, we’ve had the pleasure with working with Sonia Amrar (Trademark attorney) to overcome an opposition to our first Trademark. Her passion and enthusiasm for our case was infectious; she was most definitely not going to go down without a fight! Sonia took the time to really understand our product and target market to ensure she could solidly defend our position at a hearing. She did a brilliant job, not only winning the case but also securing the award of costs from the opposing party.
